    "factual_background": "<p><strong>FACTS ASSERTED BY THE COMPLAINANT AND NOT CONTESTED BY THE RESPONDENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Complainant states that it is a multinational video game and entertainment company. The Complainant asserts to have released the video game &ldquo;Sonic the Hedgehog&rdquo; in 1991. The Complainant claims that the game remains as its flagship franchise and one of the best-selling video game franchises today.<\/p>\n<p>The Complainant provided evidence that it is the owner of the Trademarks as referred to above. The Complainant also provided evidence that Sega Europe Ltd. (a company of the Complainant&rsquo;s group of companies) is the owner of the domain name &lt;sonicthehedgehog.com&gt;, created on May 31, 1997.<\/p>\n<p>The disputed domain name &lt;sonic-thehedgehog.com&gt; was registered on May 11, 2023. The Complainant proves that the disputed domain was used by the Respondent but is inactive now.<\/p>",
