    "factual_background": "<p>The Complainant is a French company founded in 1992, with operations and a group of companies in more than 50 countries worldwide, employing more than 33,000 people, and generating revenue of EUR9,353 million in 2025.&nbsp; The Complainant&rsquo;s LAGARDERE trademark has been extensively used for more than 20 years, and its reputation has been recognized in many countries, including by previous UDRP panelists<a href=\"#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\"><span>[1]<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Complainant is focused on two main lines of business: Lagard&egrave;re Publishing (book publishing) and Lagard&egrave;re Travel Retail (travel retail).<\/p>\n<p>The Complainant&acute;s business scope also comprises Lagard&egrave;re Live, which includes Lagard&egrave;re News (Le Joumal du Dimanche, LeJDNews, Le JDMagand the Elle brand licence), Lagard&egrave;re Radio (Europe 1, Europe 2, <em>et al<\/em>.), Lagard&egrave;re Live Entertainment (venue management, production of concerts and shows, hosting and local promotional services), and Lagard&egrave;re Paris Racing (sports club).<\/p>\n<p>The Complainant also owns the domain names &lt;lagardere.com&gt; registered on August 2, 1995, and &lt;lagardere-groupe.com&gt; registered on July 7, 2003.<\/p>\n<p>The disputed domain name &lt;<strong>info-lagardere.com<\/strong>&gt; was registered on <strong>March 30<\/strong>, <strong>2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Complainant&rsquo;s submitted evidence, the disputed domain name resolves to an inactive website, as of the time of this Decision, with Mail Exchange (&ldquo;MX&rdquo;) servers configured.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><a href=\"#_ftnref1\" name=\"_ftn1\">[1]<\/a><\/span><span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"> <\/span>&nbsp;<span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><em>LAGARDERE SA v.     "no_response_filed": "<p><\/p>\n<p>The Respondent did not reply to any of the Complainant's contentions.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Complainant Contentions<\/span> (summary):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Complainant contends that the disputed domain name is confusingly similar to its trademark LAGARDERE; that the addition of the term &ldquo;INFO&rdquo; is not sufficient to escape the finding that the domain name is confusingly similar to the trademark and branded goods LAGARDERE. It does not change the overall impression of the designation as being connected to the Complainant&rsquo;s trademark LAGARDERE.<br \/><br \/><\/li>\n<li>The Complainant contends that the Respondent has no rights or legitimate interests in respect of the disputed domain name since the Respondent is not commonly known by the disputed domain name, in particular given the results of the WhoIs; that the Respondent is not related in any way with the Complainant; that the Complainant does not carry out any activity for, nor has any business with the Respondent; neither license nor authorization has been granted to the Respondent to make any use of the Complainant&rsquo;s trademark LAGARDERE or apply for registration of the disputed domain name by the Complainant. Furthermore, the Respondent did not use the disputed domain name, and it confirms that the Respondent has no demonstrable plan to use the disputed domain name.<br \/><br \/><\/li>\n<li>Regarding the bad faith registration, the Complainant contends that, given the distinctiveness of the Complainant's trademark and reputation, it is reasonable to infer that the Respondent has registered the disputed domain name with full knowledge of the Complainant's trademark. Concerning the bad faith use, the Complainant contends that the Respondent has not demonstrated any activity in respect of the disputed domain name, and it is not possible to conceive of any plausible actual or contemplated active use of the domain name by the Respondent that would not be illegitimate, citing the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wipo.int\/amc\/en\/domains\/decisions\/html\/2000\/d2000-0003.html\">Telstra<\/a> <\/em>Case.<em>&nbsp; <\/em>Finally, the Complainant contends that the disputed domain name has been set up with MX records, which suggests that it may be actively used for email purposes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>",
